Long-Term Care Rotation included 32 Hours:

 

Long-term care simulations were completed due to Covid-19 restrictions at long-term care facilities. These simulations helped me become familiar with procedures and forms that are required by state and federal mandates. I also learn about the dietitian's role in providing nutrition care as part of an interdisciplinary health care team. Differences in care, treatment, philosophy of the acute care found in hospitals, and that of resident centered care found in long term care settings were highly noticeable throughout learning simulations and case studies.
